A tradition is a belief or behavior passed down within a group or society with symbolic meaning or special significance with origins in the past. Common examples include holidays or impractical but socially meaningful clothes (like lawyer wigs or military officer spurs), but the idea has also been applied to social norms such as greetings. Traditions can persist and evolve for thousands of years—the word "tradition" itself derives from the Latin tradere or traderer literally meaning to transmit, to hand over, to give for safekeeping. While it is commonly assumed that traditions have ancient history, many traditions have been invented on purpose, whether that be political or cultural, over short periods of time. Certain scholarly fields, such as anthropology and biology, have adapted the term "tradition," defining it more precisely than its conventional use in order to facilitate scholarly discourse.

The concept of tradition, as the notion of holding on to a previous time, is also found in political and philosophical discourse. For example, the political concept of traditionalism is based around it, as are strands of many world religions including traditional Catholicism. In artistic contexts, tradition is used to decide the correct display of an art form. For example, in the performance of traditional genres (such as traditional dance), adherence to guidelines dictating how an art form should be composed are given greater importance than the performer's own preferences. A number of factors can exacerbate the loss of tradition, including industrialization, globalization, and the assimilation or marginalization of specific cultural groups. In response to this, tradition-preservation attempts have now been started in many countries around the world, focusing on aspects such as traditional languages. Tradition is usually contrasted with the goal of modernity and should be differentiated from customs, conventions, laws, norms, routines, rules and similar concepts.

Percentages agreement

The Percentages agreement was an agreement between Soviet premier Joseph Stalin and British prime minister Winston Churchill during the Fourth Moscow Conference in 1944, about how to divide various European countries into spheres of influence. The agreement was originally made public by Churchill. The US ambassador, who was supposed to represent Roosevelt in these meetings, was excluded from this particular discussion.

The agreement

According to Churchill's account of the incident, Churchill suggested that the Soviet Union should have 90 percent influence in Romania and 75 percent in Bulgaria; the United Kingdom should have 90 percent in Greece; and they should have 50 percent each in Hungary and Yugoslavia. Churchill wrote it on a piece of paper which he pushed across to Stalin, who ticked it off and passed it back. The result of these discussions was that the percentages of Soviet influence in Bulgaria and, more significantly, Hungary were amended to 80 percent.

During the previous 40 years, Greece was financed by the European Union by, more or less, 200 billion euros.

Financing of this magnitude should have made, the Greek infrastructure highly modernized and the Greek national economy having become competitive and prosperous.

Instead, Greece's economy is destroyed, hers infrastructure remains inexcusably underdeveloped, and innumerable innocent civilians loosing their lives needlessly because Greece's public health infrastructure lacks from even the minimum material resources.

After 1974, the structure and dynamics of both, the political system's as well as the society's, were kept in accordance to the traditional colonial domination specifications in order for the external influences to remain intact.

For example, the best elements of Greek society, in terms of honesty, humanity, intelligence and patriotism, were systematically, in the best case humiliated, slandered and marginalized and in the worst case were submitted to even the most extreme forms of “no-touch torture”.

At the same time, there has been an instrumental absence of effective measures, during the process of personnel selection for recruiting, the political system, the state's foundations, the academic and the economic elites, for avoiding, this recruiting to follow absolutely racist specifications.

Every Nation is characterized by its corresponding tradition. For example, Greece, United Kingdom, United States of America, Russian Republic, Israel, Turkey, etc. each one corresponds to its own, exclusive tradition.

Greece's tradition mainly has to do with peacefully promoting civilization.

The proto-Greek culture known as the Mycenaeans developed and flourished on the mainland, more than 5.700 years ago, eventually conquering the Aegean Islands and Crete, where the Minoan civilization was centered.

Within this culture, Greek tradition is centered around a metaphysical quasi center of symmetry, and is instrumental in upgrading people's spiritual variety in such a way, so that people can both, understand the absolute ineffectiveness of violence, as well as, to resolve each and every manifestation of undecidability which they might confront on their discrete and collective journey towards, peace, freedom, friendship and frugal prosperity.

The international community, as a whole, decides which Nations is going to support and which Nations is going to neglect. By supporting or neglecting specific Nations, the international community decides which traditions influence more the evolution of our human history.

During these days, at many geographical locations, innumerable innocent human beings are lost just as collateral damages of worshiping traditions of greed.

The international community by remaining passive towards Greece's colonial domination, indirectly contributes in the perpetuation of our humanity's exclusive division between war and terror.
