Presentation: Dry underwater station for mini submarines
This is an underwater station for mini submarines to dock and remain for very long periods while staying dry.
The system is composed by the following parts:
Some specifications.
This is how the system works. A volume of 88.3 cubic m of air occupies always the top side of the cover. For opening and closing the cover two separate pairs of air tanks are being used. A pair which is located at the base and has a capacity of 1.189 cubic m and the other one which is located at the cover and has a capacity also, of 1.189 cubic m. The two pairs are interconnected by tubing and a total quantity of 1.189 cubic m of air is being transferred from the one pair to the other, through electric pumps which are being supplied electricity, wirelessly by the mini submarine. When the air fills the cover pair of tanks, then, the cover is being lifting by a force of 0.5 t. When the air fills the base pair of tanks, then, the cover is being lowered by a force of 0.5 t.
