An unproductive negligence
It is a certain fact that, power may corrupt human beings, while, it is an historical fact that, in each and every society, their power elites may, "ordinarily" commit crimes, the consiquences of which, and the legal liability of which, keep, through the past centuries, burdening innocent people which have been, instrumentally, marginalized for this purpose.
European Nations and others, few centuries ago, forced the most opportunistic portion of their societies, along with those Nations' "products" of their corruption, namely, their supposed "criminals", to immigrate as shettlers to foreign geographical location in order to colonize those location by commiting unspeakable crimes, including, genocides.
Violent colonization is impossible, unless, the colonizers, diminish, their own sence of the value of human life, to zero and also develop an indeference in defying all rules.
Colonialism is an world view. World views can be, neither, good, nor, bad, because, they reflect the evolved collective identity of a corresponding society at a certain historical time.
Nations which have long colonizing traditions may face severe difficulties in optimizing the consumption of their resources because of their zero valuation of human beings along with their spontaneous defying of rules. For this reason, those colonizing Nations, may rely for their survival uppon the other Nations' wealths.
From the colonialism perspective, an able motive to colonize a Nation, seems like being, the net monetary worth of this Nation's citizens. For example, the statistical means of the net value of Greek citizens is, in rough figures, the citizens' share upon Greece's multi trillion euros worth mineral resources, plus, its share in the existent States infrustructure (bridges, airports, harbours, etc.), plus, say, 100.000 euros, each, from real estate and other comodities, plus, say, 250.000 euros, each, from his health, etc, minus, 80 euros the price of his own life (according to international studies).
There may be, also, other motives for a Nation to colonize another Nation. Among those other motives, there may be the indiscriminate and imprudent hatredge and the irrational intention to revenge, of a previously colonized Nation which may has previously suffered extreme colonial violence and/or which may have been arbitrarily deprived from a significant portion of its material wealths.
Recently, I had a conversation with a citizen, here, in northern Europe, who insisted that having his familie's refrigerator full with food and bevereges is something very important for him and his family. He didn't clarified what cost, in terms of freedom and in terms of human rights, he was willing to give away, in return for this kind of material prosperity.
In the past, innumerable "peacefull" European citizens remained idle when unspeakable atrocities where happening against innocent indigenous populations, at north America and elsewhere. They remained idle, also, when the stolen wealths of other Nations, passed the doors of their own houses for consumption. They remained idle, also, when innocent and kind European Nations where invaded by parasitism in order to decay those Nations. They remained idle, also, while, rewarding commercial relationships where established with Nations which defy the human rights. They remained idle, also, when consumer products, the construction of which (tantalum capasitors) demanded the attrocious exploitation of childen labor, in Africa. They remained idle, also, when small and powerless countries were ruthlesly colonialized. Etc.
After all this systematic idleness, the modern colonialism, equiped with incredible new technology, which offers, the fabrication of false evidence of the best quality; the most loyal, involuntary enlisting of local contributors; the most effective abusage of the existing, essentially obsolete, laws; the most effective abusage of the existing, essentially obsolete, social foundations, is here to bite, or even to eat, the hand which fed his existence, in the past.
The peaceful and creative resolution to the current international catastrophy that we are living may be, the voluntary and just setlement of all, moral and material, debts, along with the voluntary, assisted evolution of the colonizing Nations.
This peaceful and creative resolution shall never become applyed, as long as, the "innocent" and "peaceful" civilians, continue to deny their passive responsibility to this catastrophy, and remain idle, for once more.
In case that, the ordinary people decide to contribute actively in the normalization of the international community, their first steps might be:
Colonial violence is an extreme catastrophy. The ordinary citizens, by remaining idle, while, enjoying the "spectacular" instrumental victimization (as a colonial standard procedure) of legitimate and innocent, political dissidents and natural leaders, probably, shall not achieve their exclussion from collecting the consequences of this catastrophy.
May, the ordinary citizens, be more prudent than, most of their leaders.
